May16 -20th saw Soilfix win the overall annual boat challenge on the Solent.

Each day started with bacon sandwiches followed by a brief induction from our skipper.  Then we were off out into the Solent matched up against a national housebuilder and south west groundworks contractor.  The boats were fairly equally despite the handicap of several inexperienced teams/crews!  This was more than made up by the levels of enthusiasm of clients and suppliers who came along.  There was a couple of races in the morning, into Yarmouth for lunch at the yacht club then back out on open water for another couple of races before home. Then into the bar to calm our nerves and explain to others why at certain points each boat didn’t make it over the line first. The weather held out with everyone enjoying the thrill of racing each other.
