Whilst in the midst of the global pandemic last year, Soilfix took the decision last Christmas to support a local charity (South East Essex Mind)
instead of distributing our usual Seasonal Goodwill Hampers to our clients, consultant partners and suppliers.

We are proud to announce that we will be continuing to support local charities at
Christmas and this year we have made a donation of £2,500 to Avon Wildlife Trust.
George and Kelly recently met with Nicole Squires of Avon Wildlife Trust at their
Grow Wilder project in Bristol (https://www.growwilder.co.uk/)
The six acre site situated on an unused smallholding in North Bristol demonstrates
the value of nature for wellbeing, wildlife gardening and food growing.
There is a diverse range of habitats, and the site has built up living seedbanks of
local plant species that are available to homes and businesses to increase local biodiversity.
Avon Wildlife Trust’s goal is to enable nature to recover on a grand scale through
inspiring people, communities, schools and businesses to take action for wildlife.
Avon Wildlife Trust have a fantastic opportunity to secure £750,000 of funding
through the Landfill Communities Fund* for this project if they can first secure 10%
through wider support, therefore our donation is very much in line with Soilfix’s
mission to protect and enhance our wildlife, habitats and resources through effective
management of risk in the ground and by unlocking brownfield sites.
