Soilfix are delighted to be co-funding a new CIRIA Project on “Sustainable Management of Waste Soils and Aggregates”.
This project aims to provide good practice guidance on the ‘whole waste soil management process’ starting from defining waste to classifying waste, through to re-use and disposal. CIRIA intend to publish an ‘interactive PDF’ document containing legislation summaries, case studies, links to useful information, relevant guidance and other projects. This document will be further updated over a 2-year period alongside webinars and conferences.
Soilfix will sit on the Project Steering Committee and contribute best-practice examples of sustainable management of waste soils and aggregates on brownfield regeneration projects, in accordance with CL:AIRE Definition of Waste: Development Industry Code of Practice (DoWCoP).
CIRIA will shortly be launching an industry consultation and if you want get involved, find out more about the project here or contact Joanne Kwan at CIRIA.
