A CAREER WITH SOILFIX

Individual development without limits

We’re serious about providing a safe, exciting and rewarding working environment that creates high productivity, continual professional development and job satisfaction. Our open-door policy encourages communication and creative thinking across our teams.

To ensure continuous improvement, training programmes are tailored to people’s individual needs and ambitions. This means our clients can be certain they’re dealing with competent, professional remediation practitioners.

Key aspects to further developing your career with Soilfix, (where there are no ceilings to staff progression) are:

Early Careers within the Remediation Industry

As part of its continued growth over the past few years, Soilfix has expanded its standard recruitment policy for developing Early Career Practitioners (ECPs) within the Remediation Industry through both apprenticeship and graduate recruitment pathways.

At Soilfix, ECPs spend their first 12 months experiencing several aspects of our business. Working with them we identify the preferred career pathway together (following either a technical, supervisory or combined route) and enrol them on a vocational qualification that suits their future career aspirations.

For both graduates and apprentices, Soilfix view mentoring by more experienced/senior staff as the key to successful early career development. [read more]

Continual Professional Development

We take staff development seriously, and routinely carry out bi-annual staff appraisals that set (and review) performance against agreed objectives, staff development & training plans.  We actively encourage our staff to achieve their aspirations for CPD and professional qualifications, including support towards Chartership, Professional Qualifications and actively contributing to societies such as RemSoc and their Working Group’s.

Attendance at industry conferences (whether online or in person), presenting seminars or simply attending Webinars are all viewed as an integral part of our staff development.

Staff Mentoring and Support

To support regular mentoring and support to staff, Soilfix has invested in an online Saberr platform to promote regular 121 catch-ups between staff and line managers, encourage leadership development and team effectiveness.  Whether online (using Saberr) or in person, we encourage open dialogue with our staff and ongoing mentoring to help them achieve their full potential.

Soilfix also has two Mental Health First-Aiders based from each of our offices who are trained to recognise the signs of any staff suffering from mental health issues, or simply able to talk in confidence about the challenges they may be facing, and provide appropriate advice where they can seek further professional help.

Communication & Team Building

We recognise effective communication is key to building a successful business, either during 121 catch-ups or between Team members.  This is either in person or online, supported by our Saberr Platform where necessary.

Soilfix regularly organises Team Building events, either for Charity, encouraging teamwork or simply getting together at our annual Christmas event.  Soilfix Directors and members of the management team provide an annual Training / Communications event to all staff on business performance / strategy, successful projects, upcoming projects, marketing initiatives and providing Health & Safety training / updates.
