Why ‘brownfield first’?

We endorse a ‘Brownfield First’ approach because it removes many barriers to construction and speeds up the development process.

Importantly, it also protects our precious environment, that is so important to improving our mental and physical well being.

Among the brownfield sites we regularly unlock for development are former gasworks, chemical works, landfill sites, dockyards and fuel storage facilities.

Our integrated management system is accredited to BS EN ISO9001, 14001 and 45001. We pride ourselves on an exemplary health, safety and environment record, with no prosecutions or enforcement actions since the company was formed in 2004.

Given the nature of our work and the type of machinery involved, the sites we work on can be dangerous without proper management. We take site safety seriously and have devised our own safety initiative ‘SafeGround’.

Our Services

Carried out using the most sustainable, practical and appropriate technique(s), only applied once we have fully understood your objectives and often following a detailed options appraisal.

Completed as an integral part of a remediation contract where programme/cost savings can be achieved through effective phasing, recycling of materials and managing pollution risks.

Combined with remediation to provide a ‘one-stop’ package as Principal Contractor or Prime Sub-Contractor. As well as removing the barriers to redevelopment, this adds considerable value by reducing various project risks – in particular programme and commercial.
