Soilfix has successfully completed site remediation and enabling works contract to facilitate ongoing construction of a secure data centre at a confidential location in East London.
Multi-disciplinary works comprised site clearance, utility disconnections, invasive weeds management, excavation and treatment of Made Ground containing asbestos-containing materials/hydrocarbons, boundary wall demolition, targeted obstructions removal, processing recovered hardcore to MOT Type 1 specification, development platform preparation and installation of Category 1 security fencing around the remainder of the site.
Project Management, Principal Designer and Cost Consultancy was provided by Concert and third-party verification, Materials Management Plan & Qualified Person (QP) was provided by RPS Group, with Civil/Structural Engineering design provided by DCL Consulting Engineers.
A collaborative ‘project-team’ based approach enabled successful delivery of this challenging contract – weekly progress meetings on Teams ensured effective communication during / post Covid-19 lockdown during March to June as all parties could not meet on site.
Soilfix commissioned Horizon Imaging to carry out a drone survey to photograph and video the completed site.
