Following our collaboration with Englobe UK to provide a more sustainable approach to removing hazardous soils & stones excavated at our site in Fulham,
our Remediation Scientist, Emma Geering, had the pleasure of being shown around the Biffa Waste Services in Redhill, Surrey, by Georgia Thomson
(Commercial Manager at Englobe).
Biffa’s facility treats a wide range of hydrocarbon-impacted soils (including from former gasworks like Fulham) to a standard suitable for more sustainable engineering and restoration purposes.
It was rewarding to see the facility in action and for Emma to put a face to a name after having so much contact with Georgia throughout the Dig 1 (and now Dig 2) works at Fulham.
