Health & Safety Competence (NEBOSH)
Our NEBOSH NGC Accredited Health & Safety Director, Richard Mabe, is responsible for ensuring that Soilfix leads best practices and stays in compliance with the latest legislation.
Lewis Hunt, our NEBOSH NGC Tech IOSH accredited Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) Manager supports Richard to ensure full compliance with, and continual improvement of our Health & Safety procedures. Soilfix also employs external health & safety consultants to provide advice and external auditing to ensure Soilfix stays at the leading edge of safe working practices.
Soilfix takes the health, safety and wellbeing of its employees and people working and visiting our sites and offices very seriously. We are committed to achieving the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing across our business, and have devised our own site safety initiative – ‘SafeGround’.
We encourage all staff to raise any health, safety and wellbeing feedback or concerns they may have, and have two mental health First Aiders on hand to discuss any mental health issues our staff may be experiencing in a confidential manner and safe space. Any safety or wellbeing issues can be raised directly with line management or via our Health & Safety committee which is made up of staff from multi-disciplines with a wide range of experience.
As part of our strive to safeguard our workforce’s mental wellbeing, Soilfix are an active member of the Construction Industry ‘Mates in Mind’ initiative. Several of our staff have engaged on their ‘Start the Conversation’ Mental Health awareness course.
