Soilfix East and West Directors, Steve Jackson and George Evans challenged each other to a race at the Leeds Castle Triathlon in June 2017. This was a tough sprint distance triathlon with mass start swim into the Castle Moat, 30km cycle followed by a 5km (hilly!) cross country run.
Both recorded good times, but East just about came out on top with Steve’s time of 1hr 36mins and George closely following with 1hr 41mins. Honours were shared in individual events, however, with Steve taking the swim and cycle times whilst George registering a blisteringly good 5k run.
Both sported Soilfix “East v West” T-shirts, with George in particular getting some strange looks at the Motorway Services beforehand!
