Soilfix supporting mental health in our local community this Christmas

Charity, Corporate, Covid19, Health & Safety,

Mental health is a charity close to the hearts of Soilfix.

Usually, at this time of year, we would be arranging for our ‘Seasonal Goodwill Hampers’ to be sent to our clients, consultant partners and suppliers.  However, due to the increasing number of organisations that we do business with that are no longer permitted to accept hampers under their Company Procedures, and in light of the 2020 Covid-19 situation, we have decided that it is not appropriate to send out any hampers, at least for this year.  We have instead, decided to donate to our local branch of Mind.

Keeley Hood, from the South East and Central Essex branch of Mind, visited our Rayleigh office yesterday (in a socially distanced manner of course!) and Soilfix presented her with a ‘jumbo novelty-sized cheque’ for £2,500.  Keeley explained how donating at a regional charity level means that our donation will go directly to supporting mental health in our local community.

The Christmas period is generally seen as a huge trigger point for some, and 2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, whether directly or indirectly affected. Platforms such as Mind are available to everyone and our donations continue to ensure this continues.

We have set up a Just Giving Page to continue with donations, should anyone wish to contribute.
