Our New Safety Initiative

Given the nature of our work and the type of machinery involved, the sites we work on can be dangerous if not managed carefully. That’s why we take site safety seriously and have even devised our own site safety initiative: ‘SafeGround’.

The ‘SafeGround’ guarantee is our reassurance to our clients that:

  • We see Health & Safety as a way of life, rather than merely compliance;
  • We use only vetted and certified suppliers and competent staff on our sites;
  • We encourage collaboration, co-operation and continual improvement on Health & Safety;
  • We are contributing to industry standards and best practice in Health & Safety; and,
  • We care for the physical & mental well-being of our staff and our suppliers.

We strive to work for clients who share our vision of creating a professional, enjoyable and safe workplace and focus on ‘The Five C’s’ for effective management of Health & Safety:

    • Care for our workforce – through continual professional development as well as safeguarding physical & mental wellbeing;
    • Competent staff and suppliers on our sites;
    • Controls – through regular safety audits, environmental / occupational monitoring, safe systems of work and effective supervision;
    • Communication & Co-operation – keeping this clear and consistent through our worker engagement initiatives, effective site inductions and daily briefings, encouraging reporting of near-misses, unsafe occurrences and/or acts; and,
    • Continual improvement – we encourage our staff to adopt a ‘Growth Mindset’ in relation to Health & Safety to continually learn and improve our safety procedures and practices.
