CPD Session: Approaches to remediation of organic pollutants in soils & groundwater

Groundwater, Remediation, Training

At the end of October, Steve Jackson provided a Continual Professional Development (CPD) Seminar to the Soiltechnics Limited geo-environmental team at their Northamptonshire office (also beamed live to Manchester), talking about ‘Treatment train approaches to remediation of organic pollutants in soils & groundwater’.

The seminar covered the many differing types of organic pollutants (including more challenging compounds such as PFAS, organochlorine pesticides/herbicides and phthalates) and remediation techniques (or combination of) to treat them in soils and groundwater to meet site-specific objectives, whether betterment-based approach or meeting specific risk-based targets.

It was great to pass on some of this knowledge to Early Career Practitioners, whilst enjoying a couple of Soiltechnics special cheese toasties!
